Magnitzky Acts
Sergie Magnitzky was a Russian lawyer for an America businessman, Bill Browder.
When Browder's Russian assets were targeted by Putin and friends, Magnitzky was arrested, tortured and killed.
Browder has campaigned since to have national legislatures pass what are called ‘Magnitzky Acts’ -
that is, legislation that targets the assets and property of corrupt officials who have committed gross violations of human rights.
This webinar features some of the key players in the fight to establish Magnitzky Laws globally, including Bill Browder, Irwin Cotler, and Margareta Cederfelt.
